EUR/USD Forecast: Will It Break 1.1750? Technical Analysis & Price Targets (2026)

Attention, forex traders! The EUR/USD pair is on the move, and we've got some exciting insights for you. The battle between the Euro and the US Dollar is heating up, and it's time to explore the potential outcomes.

EUR/USD has been edging lower, but it's still holding strong near the 1.1750 barrier, which is a crucial point in its journey. The pair's technical analysis reveals an intriguing pattern: it's hovering close to the upper boundary of a descending channel, hinting at a potential bullish reversal.

But here's where it gets controversial... The EUR/USD pair is currently above two key moving averages: the nine-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) and the 50-day EMA. These averages are sloping upwards, indicating a positive short-term bias. The nine-EMA, being above the 50-day EMA, reinforces a bullish structure. Trend studies also support this, as the 50-day EMA is rising, and the price is comfortably trading above it.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) momentum indicator, sitting at a neutral 58, suggests balanced-to-bullish momentum. However, it's important to note that momentum has eased modestly, which could be a sign of potential shifts in the market.

If the EUR/USD pair breaks above the upper boundary of the descending channel, currently around 1.1760, it could lead to an advance towards the three-month high of 1.1808. Continued strength could even push buyers towards the higher resistance level of 1.1918, a level not seen since June 2021.

However, a slip back through the confluence of the nine-day EMA (1.1695) and the 50-day EMA (1.1678) could tilt the risk towards the seven-week low of 1.1589, set on December 1st. This would be followed by a potential test of the lower boundary of the descending channel, around 1.1570.

And this is the part most people miss... The Euro's performance today is not just about the USD. When we look at the heat map, we see that the Euro is strongest against the Japanese Yen, with a percentage change of 0.02%. This could indicate a broader shift in currency dynamics, which might impact the EUR/USD pair's future movements.

So, what do you think? Is the Euro's strength here to stay, or is this just a temporary blip? We'd love to hear your thoughts and predictions in the comments below! Remember, forex trading is an art, and every opinion counts in this dynamic market.
